Bio

Dr. Kissock is the Chevron Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Faculty Director of Energy and Efficiency Institute at the University of California-Davis. He is also a faculty within the Energy Graduate Group at the University of California-Davis and a Faculty Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the Energy Technologies Area.  He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio.

Before coming to University of California at Davis, Dr. Kissock served as Professor and Chair of the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Director of the Renewable and Clean Energy program, and Director of the Industrial Assessment Center at the University of Dayton.  Before that Dr. Kissock was a research engineer at the Center for Air Pollution Impact and Trend Analysis at Washington University, the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis in Vienna, Austria, Energy Systems Laboratory at Texas A&M University and the Center for Energy and Environmental Studies at Princeton University.

His work has been honored with the Distinguished Educator Award by Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, U.S. Department of Energy Center of Excellence Awards, the Ohio Governor’s Award for Excellence in Energy, and the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy Champion of Energy Efficiency award.
